We brought our 3 kids for 4 nights in Jill’s cabin. We are so glad we did. We ‘unplugged’ and didn’t even use the wi-fi. We played board games, there are about 30 in the cabin. We slept late, hung out in our pj’s and giggled the mornings away. The beds are so comfy and the linens provided were very nice. We spent time outside surrounded by nature. We took the kids gem-mining and to some of the local waterfalls and Grandfather Mountain. We got our Kodak Moments all along the Blue Ridge Parkway, that is what we loved about the cabin, it was right off the Parkway and close to everything. We did horseback riding as a family, too. Jill suggested that and we are so glad we did it, the horses stop in the river so you can dangle your feet in the water and it’s just beautiful. When the kids went to bed we enjoyed wine from the local wineries in the hot tub, looking up at the stars which seemed so close and just reflecting on our day. This is a great way to bring a family close, I highly recommend it. The kids are already asking when we can go back to the cabin! It really was a bargain for a family trip! Can’t say enough about it!
