A Perfect Anniversary!

Our stay in the cabin (December 19 to 24) was truly a dream. We started out our trip with several goals in mind: Disconn…ect from everything, unwind, and celebrate our anniversary (December 23), among others, and really met every one of them beyond our expectations.

The cabin was lovely and ideal for both of us and our two dogs. I loved it, it was certainly cozy and had a warm atmosphere that made us feel at home.

The area was amazing, right at the Blue Ridge Parkway. The drive up to the place through the parkway and stopping at all overlooks was so enjoyable,  astonishing really. I had never seen so much display of natural beauty.

We found Spruce Pine to be a charming town. Loved driving around it, becoming acquainted with its places and people.

Needless to say, time was not enough to do everything on our list or visit all places we were interested in because there were days when the cabin invited to stay and rest. Even the dogs loved it! They constantly wanted to go outside, and even did a couple of trails with us!

This holiday vacation was wonderful. We got to literally detach from the world, from our day to day. We loved it so much we are planning to return.
