Jack Wiseman, founder of Linville Falls winery has compared the soil in Western North Carolina to that of Napa Valley. He has done extensive research on growing grapes and you’ll taste the difference in his wines. His is winery is located just a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Route 221. It’s family owned and operated, they offer fortified wines such as their Strawberry Wine, they also have a variety of reds and whites.
