We absolutely loved the cabin, and it was perfect for our Thanksgiving weekend getaway. The first day, we enjoyed our hike up to the waterfalls near the cabin and they were absolutely a must see! After that, we came back and had a great dinner at the cabin, then followed that up with a nice soak in the hot tub looking up at the stars. The views of the night sky are spectacular from this cabin! The next morning, we ventured out to enjoy all the surrounding areas and scenery. We started out at Grandfather Mountain and crossed over the Mile High Swinging Bridge and enjoyed the distant views. We then drove down the mountain over to Blowing Rock and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Stories Grille, followed by the perfectly timed Christmas Parade thru downtown Blowing Rock amongst all the quaint little shops.
We cannot give enough credit to Jill as our off-site host for the weekend. The amount of attention to detail that she provides is a refreshing experience that has us counting the days till we return to the area. She explained everything about the cabin and its features, and even gave perfect directions regardless of which way we were driving to it. Even though we planned our trip at the last minute, we never felt like we did not know what to do next because of her help when we asked a question. The cabins are in great condition, and are in a perfect setting that everyone from young to old can enjoy. We highly recommend this property and working directly with Jill throughout the process!
