Also, we specialize in honeymoons and celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries..we always have chilled champagne!
We enjoyed staying at this charming cabin in the woods and especially liked the hot tub after a day of hiking. Jill's recommendations for food, activities and trails were spot on. We would never have known about the 100-foot cascade at Tom's Creek without her heads up. We had this beautiful waterfall to ourselves and took some great pictures. The cabin's location is especially nice if you're looking for waterfall hikes and great mountain views. The area is quiet, peaceful and inviting. A great getaway for our family. Thanks for the memories!

We drove all the way from Mississippi to see the Blue Ridge Parkway. So glad we did! What an amazing and beautiful part of our country! We were so glad to find your cabins right on the Parkway. We looked at several online and as soon as we found your website, we knew we found the perfect place to stay and I’m so glad we booked it! Jill was right, when at the cabin it’s so quiet and peaceful it truly feels like being in the middle of nowhere but you’re only 15 minutes to all the best points of interest and restaurants. Our three kids 4, 8 and 14 really enjoyed Linville Caverns and Gem Mountain. We visited 5 waterfalls which were not far from the cabin. Thanks for telling us where to go and what to see, you saved us so much planning time! I didn't have to scour the internet for ideas, your welcome packet was just amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer to see more but we sure did pack a lot into 4 nights! This was an amazing vacation and the first time our children experienced mountains and waterfalls!

Thank you for a wonderful time at your beautiful cabin. I brought my two teenage daughters and we really enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with nature and each other. The accommodates where very inviting, clean and provided all the necessities for a comfortable experience. Our weather was great with blue skies, low humidity and a nice breeze. We enjoyed horseback riding, zip-lining and several trips to the gem mines. We created family memories to last a life time. Looking forward to the next opportunity to visit again.

We just had the most relaxing time at Mountain Dream Cabins March 14-16, 2014. We went with very little expectation as this was our first mountain getaway after moving to Charlotte 7 months ago. We absolutely loved it. The cabins are so you have a lot of privacy and we like that a lot. It was great to unwind and disconnect from the world for a short time. Our two girls loved the spiral staircase and being in their own neat space upstairs. Thanks so much! So glad we found your cabins!!

As I awakened to a rare winter wonderland in North Augusta, South Carolina, this morning, I was so excited that we would be prepared for sledding and snowman building because we had just returned from a great trip to Jill's cabins. While there, we headed a little north and enjoyed snowboarding, sledding, and snow tubing at Beech Mountain and Jonas Ridge. All locations were convenient to restaurants, waterfalls, and wonderful hiking trails. It was extremely cold but sunny. We have six grandchildren ranging in age from 5-17. Therefore, there were activities for all, even the grandparents! The cabin area offers wonderful hiking, a lovely creek, and if you just want to stay inside, reading by the fireplace yields a quiet peace that we all need from time to time. A highlight of our trip was a beautiful drive to the small community of Valle Crucis where we visited the community store. It was as if we had gone back to the early 1900's. What a great time we had selecting candies and toys from the past. I prepared a soup packet I purchased that probably was the best chicken noodle soup ever!
Our family highly recommends staying in the lovely, well prepared cabins. Oh, and the hot tub was a favorite for all. Jill was so easy to work with and sent very useful information packets and directions to various locations. Thank you, Jill, for allowing us to use your homes. We will be back for snow tubing in the winter and river tubing in the summer. The mountains of North Carolina are a wonderful part of God's creation which He made for us to enjoy as often as possible! Take the time to visit this unique part of the country!

My husband, 3 young daughters, and I just left Mountain View Cabin 1. Our stay was absolutely spectacular! This cabin was definitely worth the 12 hour drive from our home in Florida. The weather was chilly and beautiful and my daughters and I were able to see snow for the first time! Upon arrival, the cabin was immaculately clean. It smelled wonderful and there was no trace of dirt, dust, and no sign of bugs or pests as one would imagine in the mountains. The cabin was secluded, yet right off the parkway and within minutes of lots of natural attractions and family oriented activities. Jill provided us with a plethora if information on the area, including restaurants, photo spots, and other things to do. Jill was always just a phone call or text message away to answer all of our questions. After a fun filled day or sightseeing at Grandfather Mtn or snow tubing at Jonas Ridge, it was wonderful to come back to the cabin and relax by the fireplace. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer unit to dry our damp mittens after playing in the snow. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare dinner there nightly after buying groceries from Walmart just 15 minutes away. The two bed/two bath cabin accommodated our family of 5 perfectly. Thanks so much! We will definitely be back!

We spent Christmas at your cabin Dec, 2013. My wife and I were thoroughly pleased to say the least. The location was excellent for long walks without smelling car exhaust!!! The Cabin and the hot tub were clean and comfortable. The full kitchen was everything we needed to keep from going out and eating. We did however try some of the local restaurants and we were pleased. ...The location in between Blowing Rock and Asheville was perfect. We took the Blue Ridge Parkway for the scenic ride to Blowing Rock and fell in love with the little town! We also spent a day in Asheville, but were able to retreat out of the crowds to our Cabin in the woods.
We highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants to get away (but to far) from civilization! You will see us again. Thank you for providing an excellent retreat!!

Neil and I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful cabin for an entire week (Oct. 13 - 20). We really enjoyed it and it did, indeed, exceed our expectations. My father died 2 weeks before we left and the solitude of the cabin and the beautiful setting of the Blue Ridge gave us some peace and time for reflection. This cabin was the ideal rental......little things like the games (we played Scrabble on a rainy day), the extra blankets, hikes/itinerary suggestions, the well-equipped kitchen, and especially the landline for emergencies (my husband has previously had a heart attack and I don't drive), the informative books - and of course - that hot tub!!!!!!!....I could go on and on. One thing that truly stood out was that Rough Ridge parking area Tanawha Hike ............spectacular payoff - what a view! We picked a gorgeous blue-sky day .......we will never forget the view!!! Again - thank you so much...your cabin is our paradise and it was great to pretend it was ours and have it for a week. It felt like instant home!!...we would love to come back soon..... You seem to be wonderful, family centered folks ......I hope we have a chance to meet someday....oh - and another thing we liked - you are always readily available and always promptly replied to any emails... excellence in action. Thank you for everything. Blessings and gratitude from Canada,
Elaine and Neil
What a great long weekend on the Blue Ridge Parkway staying in the Blue Ridge Parkway Mountain Dream Cabins September 2013! My Wife and I decided to stay in these gorgeous cabins as our first real vacation following our wedding honeymoon. The biggest appeal initially was the fact that the cabin is located right-off the parkway, really giving a true cabin-feel instead of accessing the property from a busy highway. Our cabin was fairly secluded and private which means relaxing and quiet! The unit was very clean and well decorated. There are two large bedrooms (one is a loft) - very comfortable beds. The open concept makes you feel like you have a lot of space and the natural air-conditioning worked great! The hot-tub was also extremely clean and the views at night were amazing. We also had a chance to meet some very nice neighbors and utilized the fire-pit every night. As far as activities outside the cabin are concerned (even though it was tough to leave it every day) it's a short drive to many attractions. We spent a day at Grandfather Mountain, a day at Linville Falls, and even had a chance to go to Boone to relax on the New River. The town of Spruce Pine is very nice and charming and the restaurants recommended were excellent - particular the Mountain View Restaurant - it's worth the wait to sit outside! This was an excellent weekend, especially since we were able to bring our dog - he had as much fun as we did. The only thing we will change next time is to bring more people with us - it's too good not to share!

We had a great family vacation at the cabin August 2013. My husband, son and I drove from PA and our daughter and husband came from FL to a gorgeous area in NC. The cabin was more than we expected, clean, well stocked with everyday essentials and beautifully decorated. Jill’s suggestions for places to go were fantastic, not enough time to see everything though, so I guess we will have to come back. Blue Ridge Parkway cabin rentals were recommended to us and we surely will do the same.

My family and I wanted to thank you for our wonderful stay in your lovely cabin. It was the ideal choice for us. The location is perfect- right between Asheville and Boone, a short drive to the best sights of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Your directions were great- it was very accessible. The cabin is so pretty, well built, immaculate, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the picnic table for outdoor meals! We felt like we were far away from everything, but were only 15 minutes for a wonderful meal at one of the restaurants you recommended. All your suggestions and ideas were great, and we appreciate all the information you provide for your guests. We hope to come back for a longer stay in the future!

Thank you so much for an AMAZING Mother's Day weekend. Your cabin had all the amenities of home yet far prettier scenery and such quiet surrounded by the mountains. What an added touch to have beautiful wild flowers hand picked by you when we arrived Friday night. One of the highlights of our stay was the hot tub. It along with everything else inside and outside of the cabin was immaculately clean. There is so much attention to detail inside and outside of the cabin. It was hard for me to leave on Sunday. Thank you for providing such a relaxing and quiet time for me and my husband. This WILL most certainly be an annual event for our family!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin! Plenty of room for a family of five. Lots to do in locally and very centrally located. It was a quick trip over to Grandfather Mountain and Asheville! Honestly, we didn't want to leave the cabin most of the time. The kids loved playing in the woods, there were lots of board games in the cabin, and the hot tub was a perfect end to every evening. The beds were very comfortable and Jill isn't kidding when she shared that the fireplace will keep the place very warm and cozy! A wonderful vacation for our family. We look forward to returning soon and experiencing this lovely place during every season! Best,

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience we had at your cabin! First of all, the directions you sent were great and led us directly there. We were sure to turn off our GPS so we didn't get lost! The cabin looks just as it does in the photos on your website. We were greatly impressed with its beauty - the cathedral ceilings, the gleaming wood, the spiral staircase that leads to the loft bedroom...it was wonderful and very romantic. Whenever we panicked that we had forgotten something, there it was provided for us - a wine opener, coffee filters, paper chip bag clips - those little essentials that everyone needs but sometimes forgets. Thanks so much for all those provisions. The picnic basket came in very handy and gave us some great memories off the parkway. The hot tub was easy to use and we appreciated all the instructions. We also appreciate all the great advice you gave us about things to do and see...you are so easy to get in touch with, just a text message/phone call away! We had a fantastic time and we hope we can do it again sometime soon. Thanks so much for enabling us to have a great vacation through your cabin - it really felt like home for the short time we were there!

Thank you so much Jill!
The cabin was so well kept and clean, the hot tub was great for our sore muscles after our long hikes through the beautiful mountains. You really have a wonderful place!! Secluded yet close enough to all of the amenities the Blue Ridge Parkway has to offer! I will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone heading to The Parkway and hope to get back there real soon. Keep up the fantastic work!

After having our first child we knew our vacation plans would have to change a little since we normally cruise to the Caribbean during our anniversary trip every winter. After our son came along we made a commitment to visit more places in our own backyard. I was so glad we found Jill and her cabins through a friend. What better a place to start than in our own Blue Ridge Mountains. This was just the get away we needed after a stressful year. From the first email I sent to Jill I felt very comfortable that I would have every answer to any question I had in relation to the cabin and the surrounding area. The plethora of information she forwarded to us and the recommendations provided proved to be invaluable. We thoroughly enjoyed the Shepherd’s Table and Knife and Fork. We made it down to the Biltmore Estate and up to Grandfather Mountain. What a wonderful centrally located cabin! Half the adventure was getting to the cabin and getting around and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Then we were able to wind down each day in the hot tub and enjoy the peace and quiet of the cabin. It was also a wonderful relief to see how well stocked the cabin was. All you truly need to bring is clothes and food, everything else is already there! This was an amazing way to spend our 9th Anniversary and our first vacation with our son. I highly recommend that anyone looking to get away to a beautiful cabin to look no further than Mountain Dream Cabins!Thank you!

Our stay at the Mountain View cabin was fantastic! The cabin had beautiful wood details throughout and it was perfectly cozy and so clean. The kids had a blast in the loft style bedroom with the built in desk and plenty of games and stuffed animals to play with. They enjoyed the nature walks to the creek and I enjoyed the peace of mind that they were completely safe from traffic. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the owner has incorporated local items such as soap from the local Soap Shack hand made. I even stopped by and purchased some for gifts (and myself of course) to bring home. I want to add a special 'thank you' to Vicky (the keeper) for finding my jewelry I had left behind and keeping it safe for me until I came back to pick it up. Exactly the kind of hospitality one could hope to find in a small town like Spruce Pine. My only complaint would be that we didn't stay longer! Thanks Jill, we will definitely recommend your cabin to others:-)

A Mountain Dream is the perfect name for this cabin! From the moment I booked the cabin, Jill (the owner) provided a wealth of information. From specific directions (and alternative routes) to points of interest and places to eat, the information was endless. Her enthusiasm and love for the mountains was obvious and she went above and beyond to make our stay as peaceful and fun as possible! The cabin was in impeccable condition and was fully stocked with everything we needed. There was nothing we could have asked for more. If you desire a cabin that feels like you are in the comforts of your own home, I HIGHLY recommend A Mountain Dream. I cannot compliment this place, amenities, and surroundings enough! You will NOT be disappointed!

We had a wonderful week at your pretty cabin! So peaceful and quiet! We drove and hiked up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway north to Boone and south to Asheville. Along the way we saw deer, wild turkeys, chipmunks (eating apples) and even a mama bear and her two cubs!! Went to Linville Caverns on our one rainy day! We had great weather for visiting Grandfather Mountain and even saw snow at the top of Mt. Mitchell! We celebrated our 8th anniversary here and it will be long remembered! Thanks Jill!!
- Paul & Kathy Cavenaugh - Wilmington, North Carolina
My husband and I had never been to the North Carolina mountains before, and we found this trip to be everything and more than we expected. The location of the cabin was right off the parkway, and close by to everything we wanted to see - Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns and Falls, and the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. The cabin was cozy and charming, and the hot tub was wonderful to come back to after a long day of hiking in the mountains. We really appreciated all the recommendations of things to do and places to eat as well - especially Louise's Rock House Restaurant! It was definitely a wonderful, relaxing way to spend a week, and we look forward to coming back.

We want to thank you for such a thoughtful, furnished cabin as well a wonderful setting . It really made our mulitple celebrations special. All our needs were met and then some.
It was very nice meeting you and seeing just how caring you are about your renters as well as your property. You seldon meet someone like you for it is usually all about getting and leaving the caring dangling.
We also want to thank you for the very nice note and champagne, although we do not usually partake we are most appreciative.
